Oddly, the Yankee-bred parents felt compelled to 'clap' and show their ritual appreciation for this exercise in political correctness. It was the oddest thing -- seeing so many persons of such presbyterian-derived sentiment applauding Satan -- and I am sure Satan would appreciate these Yankees -- since it is just the sort of thing one ought to do in precisely such a circumstance, if one has the misfortune to be raised with Yankee genetics and culture. Ask any Southern born gentlemen, and he will be sure to elaborate on this theme.
