"Corpus Christi,' which was first produced on Broadway in 1998, is the sort of play that liberals love to produce, so they can congratulate themselves on how liberal and open minded they are, and how willing they are to attack safe targets like Christianity. The play depicts Jesus and the disciples as openly gay men living in modern day Texas, and is replete with the usual stereotypes of the average Texan as being bigoted and objects of ridicule for the self-servingly progressive audience. In the play, Judas betrays Jesus due to sexual jealousy.
