Denitsa Gadzheva, Bulgarian MP, injured by a rock thrown by Islamic extremists Denitsa Gadzheva, a conservative MP in the Bulgarian Parliament, was struck by a rock thrown by an Islamic extremist today during a protest in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. She was participating in a demonstration against the use of obnoxious loudspeakers by a mosque in downtown Sofia. Local residents, who joined the protest march, are disturbed by the public nuisance created by the high volume loudspeakers used on a regular basis by the mosque.

Non-white British population reaches 9.1 million

The white British population has stayed the same since 2001; there has been an increase in births, but there has also been a similar number of people migrating.
The non-white British population has grown by 4.1% a year, adding up to 37.4% growth – 2.5 million – over the whole period. The only group to shrink is the white Irish population – down from 646,600 in 2001 to 574,200, due to falling birthrates and migration.
A rise in the "other white" population from 1.4 million to 1.9 million is not simply due to eastern Europeans arriving, said the ONS statistician responsible for the report, but also because of the arrival of people from Commonwealth countries such as Australia and New Zealand.
The mixed-race population is up nearly 50% to almost a million for the first time – up from 672,000 in 2001 to 986,600 in 2009. A third are mixed African-Caribbean and white, followed by Asian/white. The ONS said this was not a result of increasing birthrates but because "the population is mixing up more". Haringey, north London, has the highest proportion, at 4.4%.

Occasionally some sophomore, somebody hostile to national-socialist ideology, usually somebody wedded to liberal notions (by which I mean a so-called conservative), will argue that national-socialist ideas have no application outside of Germany, adducing as evidence some statement attributed to Adolf Hitler: "National-Socialism is not for export." Ipse dixit!

Isn't it interesting how these people who are basically hostile to our worldview, suddenly, when it suits them, treat Adolf Hitler as a man whose every casual word must be taken as an inviolable commandment? The assumption seems to be that there is no general idea, no substance in national-socialism, except to copy Adolf Hitler on every point.

The Oakland-based nonprofit has raised more than $100 million over the past seven years, according to tax returns. It owns 66 radio stations across the globe and was worth more than $72 million in 2009.

As The End nears, donations have spiked, a board member says, enabling Family Radio to spend millions of dollars on more than 5,000 billboards.

But it is not about money, say President Harold Camping and board member Tom Evans. It's about spreading the Gospel and saving as many people as possible.

What will the nonprofit do with the millions of dollars left in the bank Saturday?

"When Judgment Day comes, if someone is a billionaire, how will they take their money with them?" said Camping, 89, during a phone interview Tuesday. "If we have any money left, and we will because we have to pay bills up to the very end ... it will all be destroyed because the world will be in a day of judgment.

"The money is not important at all. It's a vehicle to spread the judgment and a vehicle of the Lord."
