In my prekid days, I lived with my wife in a shaded little bungalow in Palm Beach, Fla. The evenings were balmy, and I thought nothing of getting dinner rolling, then coaxing my wife into a little preprandial fling. What better way could there have been to pass the time while the charcoal turned to burger-searing embers? There was no better appetizer, and the meal afterward was remarkably satisfying. The conversation that followed had an uncommon ease.

The 18-year-old student turned himself in Wednesday morning. He’s accused of one count of ethnic intimidation.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Police say on April 20th Thomas wrote an ethnically charged message on the bathroom wall at the high school in Birmingham.
It named five African American students including Courtney himself… and said they would be lynched and killed.
If convicted of the felony charge, Thomas could face two years in jail with the possibility of an additional 5-thousand dollars in fines.
The judge let him out on a $20,000 personal bond and said Thomas was not to leave his house except for work or medical reasons.

“We want to resurrect this space as a place of assembly,” Acworth told the Examiner, “Our goal is to start slowly.”
The space is currently used for parking, but Acworth wants to use it for community banquets, film festivals, farmers markets and youth sports events.
When the adult entertainment company set up shop in the Mission years ago, they were met with some opposition, however over time, the company has developed a trusting relationship with the area.
The adult business is mainly contained to the fourth floor, or dungeon-esque basement. Acworth said if the community center is approved, it would have separate entrances away from the porn sets.

When the billboards were put up, the Russian art collective Voina, itself known for its controversial painting of a 65-metre penis on a drawbridge in St Petersburg, tweeted: "On Pushkinskaya Square opposite Gap, there is a huge advertisement, openly fascist in style, for elite housing in Sochi."

Degot and others said the style and pose of the subjects in the images was heavily suggestive of Nazi art which stresses racial purity and superiority.

The Guardian has learned that the images of the sportsmen were produced by Doping-Pong, a St Petersburg-based design company which uses a swastika as one of its online "banners".

One of the company's recent projects is a series of erotic photographs of two young women, one called a "fa" (fascist), the other an "antifa" (anti-fascist activist), who grapple with each other in a wrestling ring and tear off each other's clothes. The "fa" appears to win the fight and triumphantly wraps herself in a Nazi flag.

Lars von Trier brought the end of the world to the Cannes Film Festival — then the Danish director really shook things up, saying he sympathizes with Adolf Hitler, thinks Israel is a pain and plans to make a porn flick with Kirsten Dunst.

Von Trier's remarks stirred up reporters, and left Dunst and co-stars such as Charlotte Gainsbourg sitting uneasily alongside their director at a press conference Wednesday after his apocalyptic drama "Melancholia" had its first screening.

In an interview afterward, von Trier said he had been joking and did not think people took his comments seriously.
